Dead Animal Removal D.A.R. Contractors provide dead animal removal services for the City of Escondido. To report dead animals for pickup, please call 619-390-8204.D.A.R. is responsible for picking up dead animals from public right-of ways within 24 hours. Callers should be prepared to provide their name and phone number (in case D.A.R. can't find the animal), the location of the animal to be removed, the nearest cross street to the animal's location, and the type of animal (if known). D.A.R. will pick up animals on private property; however, this is not covered in our contract and property owners will be charged a fee for this service.
